Something in you is changing.

Midlife often asks for a different kind of attention. This is a steady, reflective space to explore what’s changing, listen to what’s asking for your attention, and begin to imagine what might come next.

How I Work: Coaching with Depth, Intuition & Imagination

Midlife is not a problem to fix. It is a threshold.

My work is grounded in Jungian psychology, depth coaching and an integrated mind–body–spirit approach. What feels disruptive on the surface can sometimes point towards something deeper shifting underneath. We don’t only talk about what’s happening. We get curious about what it might mean, what you’re feeling, and what wants your attention.

In practice, this might include:

  • Exploring recurring patterns, beliefs and projections
  • Working with shadow, archetypes and different parts of yourself
  • Using guided visualisation and active imagination
  • Paying attention to what you feel and sense in your body
  • Exploring dreams, symbols and imagery when they arise
  • Noticing what contracts you, and what makes you feel more alive

I don’t give you the answers. I create space for you to hear yourself more clearly, reconnect with your intuition and trust your own inner knowing, so that your choices come increasingly from you rather than from fear, habit or other people’s expectations.

This is reflective work, but it isn’t passive. We hold both the desire to move forward and the need to listen deeply. Together, we notice what is changing, experiment with new ways of responding and track the shifts in how you relate, choose and act.

Over time, the aim is not to become someone entirely new, but to develop greater self-trust, inner authority and freedom to become more fully who you are.

The Psychological Foundation

My coaching draws on Jungian psychology, particularly its view of midlife as a period of psychological development and individuation: the lifelong process of becoming more fully yourself.

This is coaching, not therapy, counselling, or mentoring. I won’t analyse you, diagnose what is happening, interpret your experience for you or tell you what you should do. You remain the authority on your own experience and the direction our work takes.

What I can offer is a psychologically rich space for inquiry. We might become curious about recurring patterns, projections, dreams, shadow, archetypal themes, inherited expectations or parts of yourself that have been pushed aside. These are lenses we can explore together, rather than explanations I impose.

There is no expectation to “stay positive” or quickly resolve what is uncomfortable. Anger, grief, longing, desire, uncertainty and contradiction can all belong in the conversation.

The aim isn’t for me to tell you who you are becoming. It is to create the conditions in which you can listen more deeply, discover your own meaning and choose what you want to do with what you find.

Working With the Unconscious

Not everything we know about ourselves is available through conscious thought alone. When it feels useful to you, our coaching may draw on:

• Shadow exploration
• Active imagination and guided imagery
• Dream reflection
• Inner dialogue and parts-based inquiry
• Archetypal and feminine development perspectives

These approaches offer different ways of exploring what may be happening beneath the surface: the images, feelings, patterns and inner responses that emerge when we make space to notice them.

I don’t interpret this material for you or tell you what it means. We stay curious about what you notice, the meaning you make of it, and whether it offers you anything useful.

Everything is collaborative. Nothing is imposed. You decide what we explore and what you do with what emerges.

Mind, Body & Spirit

Midlife isn’t experienced through thought alone. Our bodies, emotions, relationships, sense of meaning and inner lives can all be part of what is changing.

Depending on what feels relevant to you, we might pay attention to:

• What you’re noticing and experiencing in your body
• Emotions and the responses that accompany them
• Questions of meaning, purpose or spirituality
• Creativity, intuition and instinct
• Where you experience energy, resistance or aliveness

Rather than treating these as separate parts of your experience, we can become curious about how they relate to one another and what you notice when you give them attention.

Sometimes understanding something intellectually is only the beginning. Coaching can create space to notice how a new awareness shows up in the way you feel, respond, choose and live.

Tools and Approaches I Draw On

Alongside our conversations, I draw on a range of psychological, imaginative, somatic and reflective approaches. These aren’t used to analyse or diagnose you, but as different ways to support your own exploration and discovery.

Depending on what feels useful, our work might include:

• Jungian ideas, including shadow and archetypal perspectives
• Parts-based inquiry and inner dialogue
• Active imagination and guided visualisation
• Awareness of sensations and responses in the body
• Reflective goal-setting that we design together
• Identifying and tracking the changes that matter to you

We co-create goals that feel meaningful to you, rather than imposing an external idea of what progress should look like. Along the way, we notice what is changing, both the quieter internal shifts and the tangible differences in how you choose, respond and act.

Between sessions, we may agree on reflections, experiments or practices that you want to try. These emerge from our conversation rather than from a prescribed programme, helping you continue exploring and experimenting with what you’re discovering in your everyday life.

If you’re wondering whether this kind of coaching is right for you, a Connection Call gives us space to talk about what you’re looking for, how I work, and whether we feel like a good fit.

How your Inner Work is held

You are always in control of the direction and depth of our work. We co-create the focus of each session, and you decide what feels important and ready to explore.

Sessions are 55 minutes and usually take place every two weeks. After each call, you’ll receive a written summary capturing what you explored, noticed and committed to, giving you a record of your journey to return to.

Before each session, I’ll send you a few questions to reflect on. These help you notice what’s been happening since we last met and consider what you’d like to bring to our next conversation.

Between sessions, you’ll also have structured WhatsApp support, giving you a place to share reflections, questions or insights as they arise.

This creates continuity without making coaching another thing you have to constantly work at. What happens between our conversations becomes part of what we can notice, explore and learn from together.

What This Coaching Is Not

This is coaching. It is not therapy, counselling, medical menopause treatment or crisis support.

It is also not mentoring. I won’t tell you how to live your life, give you a formula to follow or position myself as the expert on what is right for you.

Our work can be practical and action-oriented, but we won’t measure progress by how productive you become or how quickly you can “fix” yourself.

This work is for women who are willing to be curious about themselves: to reflect, question, experiment and take responsibility for the choices they make.

If you’re looking for someone to give you the answers, this probably isn’t the right space. If you’re looking for a thoughtful coaching relationship that helps you discover and trust your own, it might be.

What Working Together Looks Like

Every coaching journey is different. But there is usually a clear arc.

Clarifying What You Truly Want

In the first session, we define what you want from this phase of coaching. External shifts may matter: work, relationships, decisions, but we also explore the internal changes beneath them.

Self-trust. Boundaries. Identity. Belonging.

Working Beneath the Surface

We explore emotional triggers, unconscious patterns, inherited expectations and shadow aspects that shape how you respond, so you can act from your own values rather than old conditioning.

Insight is important. Embodiment is essential.

Integration and Movement

We track progress through what you notice in everyday life: clearer decisions, different responses and a stronger connection to yourself.

Greater self-trust. Clearer choices. More inner steadiness.

One woman's journey: Reclaiming Identity in Midlife

Laura Lewis
Marketing Director & Mother

Before Coaching

When Laura began coaching, she felt overwhelmed by competing roles: wife, mother, professional and someone managing chronic illness.

She described herself as exhausted, burnt out and unsure where she fit in her own life.

In her words:
“I didn’t know where I fit into this new life.”
“I was constantly overwhelmed by guilt.”
“I needed help rediscovering my inner voice.”

Low self-esteem, imposter syndrome and staying quiet to keep the peace were shaping her daily experience.

During the Work

Together, we explored inherited beliefs about worth and responsibility.

We worked with guilt and shame directly rather than avoiding them.

Through reflective questioning and guided visualisation, Laura began recognising when she was acting from obligation rather than choice.

She started experimenting with small but meaningful shifts.

Practical Changes

  • Asked family members to share household responsibilities
  • Hired external support instead of carrying everything alone
  • Took time for herself during holidays
  • Advocated for her needs in medical settings
  • Addressed professional self-doubt directly

These were not dramatic gestures. They were grounded decisions rooted in growing self-trust.

After Several Months

Laura reported:

  • Increased confidence and self-belief
  • Clearer boundaries
  • Greater presence in relationships
  • A stronger professional identity
  • A deeper connection to her inner voice

“The work helped me trust myself in a way I hadn’t before.”

How we work together in practice

Working with me is both steady and spacious.
There is structure, and there is room to breathe.

Regular 55-minute sessions

We meet every two weeks online. This rhythm gives us time to explore what’s unfolding, with space between sessions to reflect, experiment and integrate.

Support Between Sessions

After each session, you receive a written summary so you can revisit what mattered and notice changes over time. Between sessions, we also have a midpoint WhatsApp check-in to keep the thread of our work connected.

Working Together Over Time

Change can begin from the very first session. Many women choose to continue for 6–12 months to deepen and integrate what’s changing, while others start with a shorter commitment and build from there.

This coaching is for you if...

  • You sense that something needs to change, even if you can’t yet name what
  • You’re capable and functioning, but something underneath feels unsettled
  • You’ve become less certain of what you want, or whose expectations you’re living by
  • You’re willing to question familiar patterns and explore different possibilities
  • You’re curious about who you’re becoming in midlife
  • You want to trust yourself more deeply, even when you don’t yet know the way forward
  • You want space to discover your own answers, rather than someone telling you what they think you should do

And perhaps you’re longing for…

  • More freedom to be yourself
  • Greater ease with who you are
  • Clarity about what matters to you
  • More trust in your own choices
  • A life that feels increasingly like your own
  • Less conflict between what you feel and what you think you should want

Frequently Asked Questions

Not sure yet? That’s okay.

Here are some of the questions women often ask before deciding whether coaching feels right for them.

I’m not sure what I need right now. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Many women arrive here feeling uncertain or in between stages. You don’t need clarity before starting. We can begin with where you are, explore what’s going on together, and help you become clearer about what you need and what feels right for you.

Do I need to be in crisis, burnout, or menopause to work with you?

No. Some women come during a clear transition, while others simply sense that something doesn’t feel right anymore. You don’t need to be in crisis, burnt out or experiencing menopause symptoms. This work can begin with the quieter questions and inner shifts that often emerge in midlife.

What if I feel overwhelmed or don’t have much capacity right now?

That’s okay. You don’t need to arrive with lots of energy or capacity. We work with where you are, without adding pressure or expectation, and agree between us what feels realistic between sessions. The work can flex with your capacity as it changes.

Is this practical coaching or deeper reflective work?

Both. We work with real-life questions, decisions and changes, while also making space to explore what may be happening underneath them.

You might leave a session with a decision to make, something to try or a conversation to have. At other times, the important shift may be seeing a familiar pattern differently, recognising what you actually want or discovering a question you hadn’t considered before.

The aim isn’t insight for its own sake. It’s greater awareness and self-trust that you can bring into the way you make choices, respond and live.

Do you offer payment plans or flexible options?

Payment plans are available. I also offer a small number of reduced-fee spaces each year for women experiencing financial transition.

If cost is a concern, you’re welcome to ask about this during our Connection Call.
